Not long ago, at a cabin lost in the woods in Michigan, a group of five college students found themselves face to face with evil forces summoned by the Necronomicon. One by one, they
were captured by the demonic forces in the woods and turned on the others, until all that was left was Ash, a loyal S-Mart employee. Armed with his boomstick (a shotgun) and his chainsaw for a hand, Ash is charged with destroying the demons and saving the world. A musical filled
with the iconic images and lines from the original Evil Dead movie franchise–not to mention gratuitous violence and gallons of fake blood; Evil Dead The Musical is a cult classic romp of pop culture against evil spirits bent on destroying the world, destined to leave audiences cheering!

ASH (Bari-Tenor range B2-Bflat4)
Hero and iconic character of the musical. Devoted S-Mart housewares employee evolves over
the course of the show from a cowardly college student to a wise-cracking zombie slayer with
his detachable hand chainsaw and 12 gauge boomstick.
LINDA (Alto/Mezzo-Soprano range G3-E5)
The stereotypical girl next door; sweet, thoughtful, and completely devoted to Ash, until she
turns evil and tries to kill him.
CHERYL (Alto/Mezzo-Soprano range G3-E5)
Ash’s sister and the odd woman out in the group. Looking to spend a week relaxing, she is the
recipient of Scotty’s jokes and torment, the only one to sense the evil surrounding the cabin, she
is the first to be possessed, turning her into an aggressive, foul-mouthed demon that speaks in
very bad puns.
SCOTT (Tenor range C3-G4)
A prankster and Ash’s best friend, thinks himself the brave one until he is forced to kill. Bit of a douche.
SHELLY (Mezzo-Soprano range D4-E5)
Beautiful, easy, and not too smart, Scotty’s latest fling and looking to party, just because she
becomes an evil demon doesn’t mean she can’t look good doing it.
ANNIE (Alto/Mezzo-Soprano range A3- F#5)
The overbearing, sexy, explorer who finds missing pages to the Necronomicon and wants to
reunite with her father to continue their research, very bossy and drawn to Ash. Must be
comfortable in a tear-away revealing costume.
ED (Baritone/Bass range A2- F#4)
Annie’s coworker, boyfriend, and doormat, travels with her to the cabin to proceed with their
research of the book of the dead.
JAKE (Bari-tenor range G2-B4)
A guide through the woods. Jake is very confident and very full of himself. Stereotypical
Southerner and reliable enough to help Annie and Ed find the path to the cabin, but too stupid
and stubborn to listen to reason that will keep him alive.
THE MOOSE (Male or female medium voice Aflat 3- F#4)
A possessed, singing, Candarian Demon moose head! That enough makes it awesome, except
once moose get going they never stop!
